Real-world results,
not trends.

Training is only as good as the results it produces — on the field, in the home, and under pressure.

At Houseraydas, our training philosophy is built on outcomes. We combine reward-based learning, clear boundaries, and structured communication to develop confident, reliable dogs and capable handlers. This isn’t about following a method because it’s fashionable — it’s about using what works, applied correctly, for the dog in front of us.

Whether the goal is calm family obedience or high-level IGP sport, the philosophy stays consistent: ethical, effective, and always tailored.

Start with an assessment

The foundations
we never compromise on

These aren’t marketing statements — they are the actual standards that shape every session, every decision, and every result at Houseraydas.

Humane and positive training
We prioritise reward-based learning using food, play, and praise to teach new skills and build motivation. When clearer boundaries are needed, they are introduced fairly and proportionally — never through intimidation or fear. This ensures dogs understand expectations while maintaining trust and confidence.
Customised to every dog
Because no two dogs are alike, our programs adapt to your dog’s needs — whether you’re raising a lively puppy, managing a reactive rescue, or developing a high-drive sport dog. By tailoring our methods, we ensure the training is always effective, appropriate, and long-lasting.
Building the dog-owner relationship
Training is about far more than obedience commands. It’s about creating a strong and reliable relationship between you and your dog. We teach owners how to read body language, communicate clearly, and handle situations with confidence — leading to better behaviour, fewer misunderstandings, and a happier life together.
Consistency and patience
Real progress takes time — and it requires steady practice, clear milestones, and ongoing support. We guide you through each step, helping you stay consistent while keeping training purposeful and motivating for both you and your dog. Shortcuts create problems later. We don’t take them.
Experience tested under pressure
With over 40 years of experience across IGP, behaviour rehabilitation, off-leash reliability, puppy development, and advanced sport training, Houseraydas blends proven traditional techniques with modern behavioural science. This combination delivers ethical, dependable, and high-performance results for every dog we work with.

Proven technique.
Modern understanding.

We don’t pick sides in the training debate. We use what works — combining time-tested methods with a clear understanding of how dogs actually learn, process pressure, and build lasting behaviour.

Clear communication
Inconsistency and unclear signals are the root cause of most behavioural problems. We eliminate ambiguity so the dog always knows where it stands.
Correct timing
A reward or correction a second late teaches the wrong lesson. Timing is the single most important technical skill in training — and it’s developable in any handler.
Purposeful pressure
Pressure applied incorrectly creates shutdown or aggression. Applied correctly and fairly, it builds confidence and reliability. We know the difference — and we teach it.
Long-term soundness
A dog that performs at 18 months but falls apart at 3 years was never truly trained — it was managed. We train for durability and reliability across all environments.
Handler development
The dog is only half the team. We coach handlers to read their dog, make decisions under pressure, and maintain the standard between sessions — where real training happens.
Houseraydas — training approach in practice

Every session has
a purpose.

We don’t turn up and repeat what was done last week. Every session is planned, progressive, and honest. If something isn’t working, we change the approach — not the standard.

  • Honest assessment of where the dog is right now — not where we’d like it to be
  • A structured plan built around your dog’s temperament, drive, and specific goals
  • Clear milestones that mark real progress, not just time spent training
  • Direct handler feedback so you leave every session knowing exactly what to do next
  • Ongoing support between sessions to maintain consistency at home

Standards that don’t
shift under pressure

These are the commitments we make to every dog and handler we work with — regardless of their level, goal, or starting point.

No shortcuts
Shortcuts create problems later. We build correctly from the start — even when it takes longer than a client might want.
Honest feedback
We tell you what your dog needs to hear — not what you want to hear. Flattery doesn’t produce results. Honest assessment does.
Consistent standards
The same standard applies whether we’re working with a family pet or a national competitor. The level of care and structure doesn’t change.
Ongoing accountability
We remain involved beyond the session. Your dog’s progress is our responsibility — not just when we’re watching, but when we’re not.
Tested at the top
Every method we use has been applied at national and international competition level. We don’t recommend what we haven’t proven.
